Well I went out and bought this game because I enjoy racket sports. I was very disappointed. If you are trying to exercise and move around more this is not for you. This game has a mind of it’s own. Nintendo wii sport and wii resort move with you not without you. This is not a realistic game. I gave this a 2 star review because of the scenery and it was fun to watch the mii have a tantrum when it fails to hit the ball. Otherwise don’t even bother it is not as fun as the other racket games. I don’t have a camera because I like using the attachment with the remote. I was excited to see that they had a couple more racket sports but I was not happy with the fact that you don’t even get to run after the ball all you have to do is stand in one place and it moves by itself. Keep your money and play the other games. If I could get my money back I would.

There are no questions about the lack of strong tennis games for the Nintendo Wii, and unfortunately, the only real strong one came from Wii Sports. Now, Ubisoft is at it again with Racquet Sports for the Nintendo Wii, by bringing in new twists on tennis all around. While I like the idea of diverse games that are not at all featured in video games like Badminton and Ping Pong. Yet, with all the gameplay, at times it can be quite tiresome after awhile. Not only that, but what draws the game down is the poor use of the option of playing controller-free through the specialty camera. At times, it honestly makes the game feel like the gameplay isn’t delivering at all, and when you do make a sudden move accidentally, it can backfire on your gameplay. Overall, I do hope that there can be a better tennis and racquet set of games available for the Nintendo Wii soon. This one while it could easily get you an ace for points, it feels like the ace is strongly in the hole.

I am mostly into RPGs although I will delve into puzzle, action, FPS and others from time to time. This is a departure away from what I’m used to, but my girlfriend got this for me because I’m a fat@ss and I’m glad. I’m getting a lot of exercise and having fun. It is meditative in that I don’t have to worry about accumulating a higher HP or MP level, get a weapons upgrade, or cuss out the 10 year olds from Singapore who are camping near my spawn point so they can screenshot their impressive high scores to show off to their peers, imagining that they are rich and have lots of sex.
Instead, I am working my arms in front of a camera that works fine (ignore the below reviewer who is technologically challenged, as is kids probably are!!), the graphics are great, and the music is OK. I prefer to listen to my own music while playing but do whatever suits you. The sound effects are important to be on timing about everything, though.
Overall, a great game… if I played more Wii sports games I might have some comparative input but alas, I just don’t sit around and play games all day anymore like I used to. This is just one that fell into my lap and, here you are: a solid 5/5 review by somebody who really enjoys it. Check it out!!

I have to agree with the last reviewer…this is a terrific game if you are looking for interesting challenges rather than realism. And that’s really why I game, so in my eyes this is a fantastic game. The controls and camera work perfectly for me and I love the amazing variety of locations you can play in. You can even play under water! That being the case, I think it’s very obvious that the game makers were NOT going for realism but instead were interested in making something creative and different. On that level the game succeeds wildly. I think the game should be judged on what it tries to accomplish rather than what some wish it was.

I got this game for my husband who enjoyed playing table tennis on Wii Resort. After playing it for two days, our opinions were that if you do not owned Wii Resort or any tennis games, then Racquet Sport would be good. However, the feel of Racquet Sport is not as good and feel rather stifled. One would tend to compare it with Wii Resort for table tennis and tennis from the Wii game that come with the purchase of the console. Squash is not fun as the space is not wide enough. The only unique one would be badminton but there is some lacks there too and would not warrant one to pay just for that game alone.
I guess it is a matter of taste but we did not enjoy the games much.
