Great game…my husband loves it! For adults who don’t have unlimited time or the dexterity left in their hands, the Nintendo Wii is the perfect option for video game fun. You can literally pick it up the first time and start playing with it, no long lag time to ‘get good’. Its great at dinner parties, just be vigilant about making people use the wrist straps lest they destroy your tv with an ill-fated swing! DJ Hero is for music nerds everywhere and the people who love them…great gift for the holidays.

I just received this game yesterday, and it was fun and challenging(for me at least). If you are not familiar with the hero family start at Beginner stage. It kept me entertained for hours, and there are so many mix choices. I like that fact that you can download new songs whenever you want and that alot are included with the game to begin with. I was able to go through the tutorial, and instantly unlock new sections once I got started. Those were the pros.
The cons: My biggest concern however, is it really worth[...]? When I received my turntable it looked cheaper than the one that was in Best Buy. I know it’s the same but it was lighter than expected. The quality of workmanship also deserves a comment: my turntable looked like it had a few areas that were not finished with the silver spray paint. I know, I’m picky. A little steep for you to have to unlock more songs, if they were all available instantly I feel a little better about it. Also when I looked at the downloadable material, it appeared that one song mix was 300 points or 3 bucks. Not feeling that so much. I can see this if you were getting more for your money. My technical issues I’m having are the following: Difficulty or inconvenience of pluging in and removing the wii remote. I got it done, but my goodness! Difficulty seeing the small writing at the bottom of the screen and control instructions. Maybe it’s my crappy TV but I had to come up close on the TV to see anything. I’m getting a new one and hope that this improves. Lastly, as a right handed person using the bottoms on my far right side was awkward for me. I would suggest that you try both ways; inside right and far right to see which one works for you. It also helps not to play too long.
Overall, I think this will be fun and I plan to try it out with a group of people over the Holiday; I think that it will be even more fun that way. Individually, I’m extremly competitive so this should be interesting…

I bought this bundle the other day and the first time I tried it, I played for over 2 hours, alone. Of course that was after my son and daughter were done with it, they were on it for 2 hours. The mixes are nothing short of excellent. The tutorials are both great and fun to get your feet wet in the game. Also I find it easier to scratch with the buttons on the “outside” of the turntable instead of the “inside” with my right hand used for the turntable. Trying to hold the Blue button with your ring finger with the buttons on the “inside” and scratch at the same time is a bit awkward due to the slight weight of the turntable. I prefer scratching using my index finger on the Blue button. But that’s just me. Also, keep those greasy foods away! HAHA! Even sweaty fingers alone will make it a bit harder to keep the buttons pressed as you scratch on the turntable.
Pros:
- Hours and hours of fun.
- Mixes are great, whether you just listen to them in party mode or playing along.
- All ages will enjoy this game, either watching or trying it.
- Very easy learning curve.
- Varying levels of difficulty keeps everyone hooked on the game.
Cons:
- Only 1 turntable. I know, this is getting picky, but that is all I can say that is a downside to the bundle.
